Winter Park

This weekend was Haley's first trip to Winter Park at my parents' timeshare. We had a great time eating, watching movies, and playing games. Haley loved moving toys from one side of her to the other and dropping things over her back. "X marks the spot" with Grammie...
It's a bit hard to move in her cute little snowsuit!
First time on the little sled. She didn't love it too much outside but after circling the condo on it a few times, I think she really started to like it!
The latest cool ride...a suitcase with Aunt Juliana!
Resting up against Uncle Matt - adorable!
Wearing Daddy's hat :)

So Cute

We keep finding Haley asleep in her crib like this...half crawling :) Did Eric and Lindsey know that Haley would like the box just as much as the presents inside? It was funny - we expected her to start throwing the packing stuff everywhere but instead she picked each piece up one by one and broke them in half.
Her new cow friend tried to join her in the box :)

A week of firsts...

Not so fun "firsts" unfortunately...Haley had her first sick visit at the doctor on Saturday for her first ear infection. She got her first prescription (amoxicillin) and had her first allergic reaction (rash on her face, neck, stomach & back) a couple days later. She had her second sick visit yesterday and was put on another medication. She still has a smile most of the time but she's been pretty miserable and we've had some sleepless nights :(

1 Year Doctor Appointment

The stats...Weight: 14 lbs 13.5 oz, Height: 28 3/4 in, Head circumference: 17 3/4 in. Her height and head are good, but Haley's weight fell even farther below the curve. She eats all of the time though! The doctor asked that we have her drink formula for another 2-3 months instead of switching to cow's milk for the extra calories and I have to take her in for a weight check in one month. She did really good during the check-up, talking to and smiling at her nurse and doctor, but then came time for the shots :( She had 3 shots and one of them, the MMR, hurt her a lot! She was crying so hard that she gave herself the hiccups so I decided to hang out in the waiting room with a bottle until she calmed down. The good news is that she hasn't shown any reaction to the shots this time!

What does a 1 year old like to do?

Climb up the stairs! So, here is our new gate :) Play with balloons and pull the sticky tabs on her diapers...
Pull herself up onto everything she can (in her new outfit from her friends Kaitlyn & Katrina)...
And, finally, a one year old likes to play with her toys! She'll even climb into her toy basket to get a better view!

Haley's 1st Birthday Party!

Haley turns 1 on the 25th but we had her birthday party yesterday. The house was filled with family and Haley couldn't have been a more perfect birthday girl. She had napped for 2 1/2 hours before everyone arrived so she was all smiles until the end. The party had a rubber ducky theme if you can't tell from the pictures... It is hard to believe that it has already been a year! Here are some very proud parents :)
Haley with Grandparents Steve and Karla...
Haley with Grandparents Nancy and Gary...
So happy playing with her Great Grandma "GG"...
Making funny faces in her ducky bathtub...
Climbing into the presents :) She couldn't wait to get her hands on the bows and tissue paper!
Haley's very first cake. She needed a little help blowing out the candle from her Daddy and wasn't quite sure what to do with the cake after that.
Not much cake actually got in her mouth but she did have fun mushing her hands into it. We were prepared for a disaster with plastic bags over the chair and a catch-a-mess mat on the floor below. She surprised us all though and was very dainty with her cake :)
"I'm one" and I'm done!
Thanks to everyone for the great gifts and fun time!
